On May 25, 2018 , the European GDPR came into force. This has certain implications related to the collection, retention and distribution of personal data. You can read below how we process your data.
Privacy statement Dirk Zellik Driving School (hereinafter referred to as RDZ) attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and respect for your privacy. In this privacy statement we would like to provide clear and transparent information about how we process your personal data. We do everything possible to guarantee your privacy and therefore treat personal data with care. RDZ complies in all cases with applicable laws and regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This means that we:
• process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided. These purposes and types of personal data are described in this privacy statement;
• limit the processing of personal data to only those data which are minimally necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
• ask for your explicit consent if we need it for the processing of your personal data;
• have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data;
• do not transmit personal data to third parties, unless this is necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were provided;
• know your rights regarding your personal data, wish to report them and respect them.

Why do we process personal data
We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal grounds:
⁃ participate in our activities (performance of the contract) ;
⁃ inform active customers about similar products through direct marketing (legitimate interest);
⁃ sending newsletters, thematic mailings and invitations (consent of the person concerned); ⁃ For the above purposes, we may request and process the following personal data:
⁃ personal identity data: name, first name, address, telephone number, email We use the collected data only for the purposes for which we obtained the data. You can of course always manage the direct marketing settings and subscription to our newsletter yourself in your profile.
⁃ You can also unsubscribe from each newsletter you receive if you wish. We do not use cookies to track you on our websites. Provision to third parties We may provide the information you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes described above.
For example, we use a third party to: provide the Internet environment (web hosting);
- organize (and distribute) newsletters and invitations. We of course enter into the necessary agreements with these parties to ensure the security of your personal data.
We never transmit personal data to third parties with whom we have not concluded a processing contract.
Additionally, we will not provide the information you provide to third parties unless legally required and permitted. An example of this is that the police ask us for (personal) data as part of an investigation. In such a case, we must cooperate and are therefore obliged to provide this information. We may also share personal data with third parties if you authorize us to do so.
You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal. We do not provide personal data to parties outside the EU. We only process the personal data of minors (people under the age of 6) if written permission has been given by the parent or legal representative.
Retention period RDZ does not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was provided or as required by law. As a general rule, we retain personal data for a maximum period of 5 years after the last use. Complaints If you have a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data, we ask that you contact us directly. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, which is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection. Changes to the privacy statement RDZ may change its privacy statement. We will announce this change on our website. The last change took place on 24/12/2019.
